Blue Ridge Sign Supply was founded in 2015 by Dennis Myers, a long term resident of Western North Carolina. Dennis started in the graphic trades in the early 80's after graduating from UNC with a degree in Business Administration. He began as most sign painters did back then; designing custom signs from a sketchbook and diligently learning to hand letter with 1Shot paint. He worked from home and then off the back of an old Ford flatbed pickup truck. Eventually he was able to open a small sign shop in downtown Asheville. 

Asheville was a great small town in the 80's, business was exploding. It was an old city that was rebounding from years of neglect. Asheville was being reborn; old, boarded-up storefronts were given a new life. Dennis and his family worked hard, they added computer design, vinyl graphics and automated screen printing. The sign shop kept growing and finally moved into a 10,000 square foot shop that was close to the new post office.

After selling his sign shop in 2000, Dennis left the sign trades for an office job in Executive Recruiting and worked for construction companies in the US and Canada for 12 years. In 2015 he opened Blue Ridge Sign Supply in a 1200 ft2 warehouse space in West Asheville. He believed that Asheville had grown enough to stop relying on the faceless, big city sign suppliers in Raleigh and Charlotte.

Blue Ridge Sign Supply has grown to a 4000 ft2 sign supply center which also offers wholesale printing and CNC Services. The first eight years have been wonderful and challenging.
